Too many beers! Oh well.

Last night I met lonely_doll and lonely_doll's mom at the Loring Pasta Bar; you guys, it'll be the best reception EVER. Anyway, I had a few beers there and a few more at the soon-to-be-demolished Uptown Bar and a few more at home, and now I'm a bit groggy.

It's ridiculously dead at work today; I think I'll sneak out a little early. In the meantime I've brought the following to keep me entertained:

Good times this weekend! Going out for pizza and beer tonight, seeing "Inglourious Basterds" tomorrow and then meeting up with eatsoylentgreen, and heading back to the Fair on Sunday!

I've been listening to this power metal band called HolyHell lately; they're produced by Manowar's Joey DeMaio, and they sound exactly like something that's produced by Manowar's Joey DeMaio. Semi-legendary guitar shredder Joe Stump spends a little too much time trying to prove he's as fast as Yngwie, in my opinion, but the singer's got an awesome voice. One thing that irks me is this bit from their bio:

Combining angelic operatic female vocals with demonic thunderous metal riffs, HolyHell is something new and unexpected in the world of heavy music.

It's like, whoever wrote that hasn't been paying much attention for the past 10-15 years...
