resolve

It's almost 2009 and I still haven't broken my one resolution! I resolved to quit wasting money in the junk food machine at work and I didn't break it one time all year. Who knows how much money I've saved; candy bars sell for 90 cents and those crummy little bags of chips sell for 85, I think. I allowed myself to use the other machines, like the soda machine and the sandwich machine, but I'll possibly resolve to quit using those next year as well.

So far, one of my 2009 resolutions is to take care of my mail daily (I just spent an hour or so ripping open envelopes and shredding stuff). I'll get the mail and deliver it straight to its destination, either the trash or the shredder or the filing cabinet. No more piles of mail cluttering up the place. I've also resolved to start reading the 50 or so books I've collected but haven't read yet. I mean, at least get started on 'em next year.

I thought I'd LOST A SOCK but found one whilst cleaning the man cave. Whew! You always hear about that happening to other people but you never figure it'll happen to you. :-P

I always toy with the notion of listening to all my CDs from A to Z. That might be something fun to do next year; I'd have to listen to like three a day though. I should also watch all my DVDs next year. I should read all the back issues of Guitar Player the guy in my old apartment gave me, and transfer them from magazine racks to storage boxes, too. And finally, I should quit collecting so much damn stuff.
